King Borne Belgian Tapestry Wall Art

The King Borne or The Bearing of the King is a Belgian made jacquard wall hanging tapestry. It was originally commissioned by King Louis XIV, of France and designed by his court artist Lebrun. The original now forms part of an extraordinary collection of 17th and 18th century tapestries in the Palace of the Grandmasters in Valletta, the capital of Malta. A beautiful piece that adds an air of elegance to any home decor motif.
