Hunting in the Snow Italian Tapestry

Hunting in the Snow is an Italian jacquard wall tapestry. The artwork shown comes from Pieter Bruegel the Elder (1525-1569), a Flemish Renaissance painter and printmaker known for his landscapes and peasant scenes. His winter landscapes of 1565 are taken as corroborative evidence of the severity of winters during the Little Ice Age.
