St. Francis From Assisi is an Italian jacquard wall tapestry. This is from an early painting of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the ecology; a Roman Catholic saint who took the gospel literally by following all Jesus said and did. His feast day is celebrated on October 4. This image is inspired by the Fresco work by Cimabue (1240 – 1302).
